Children of the City has successfully served the children and families of Southwest Brooklyn for more than two decades. Initially our success was measured by children that were able to overcome welfare and poverty. Our first generation of youthful clients are now homeowners, businesspeople, engineers, many of whom have come back to volunteer with Children of the City. The devastating effects of poverty continues to subject many children to abuse and delinquency. Children of the City has increased the number of programs and mentors dedicated to educate and support families as we strive to change the culture of poverty.
